1. Overview
A cell style is a set of formatting properties (font, data style, borders, background) used to display a single cell.
Custom styles are user‑defined collections of cell styles stored inside a workbook. Unlike style palettes, custom styles do not change automatically — they remain fixed until manually edited, added, or deleted.
2. Managing Custom Styles
GS-Calc provides multiple tools for creating, editing, and managing custom styles. These options are available in:
- Format → Custom Styles (resizable window)
- Format → Cell Format dialog box (when Format → Advanced Cell Format Dialog Options → Show Style Lists is enabled)
Custom styles can include any combination of formatting properties:
- fonts
- data styles
- borders
- backgrounds
- colors
