Using AutoScroll Range to automatically scroll between cells |
You can define regions (cell ranges) where the current/selected cells moves differently than in the rest of the worksheet after you press Enter (when you complete cell editing), Left/Right keys or Up/down keys.
In such a AutoScroll region you can define horizontal scrolling as follow:
Pressing Left/Right arrows causes moving the current cell to the next/previous cell in a row,
next empty cell or next non-empty cell in a row within the boundaries of that region.
After reaching the left/right boundaries, the cell moves to the end/start of the previous/next row etc.
Pressing Enter can result in:
moving the current cell to the next/previous cell in a row, next empty cell or next non-empty cell in a row within the boundaries of that region,
Vertical scrolling can be defined similarly as follow:
Pressing Up/Down arrows causes moving the current cell to the next/previous cell in a column,
next empty cell or next non-empty cell in a column within the boundaries of that region.
After reaching the top/bottom boundaries, the cell moves to the end/start of the previous/next column etc.
Pressing Enter can result in:
moving the current cell to the next/previous cell in a column, next empty cell or next non-empty cell in a column within the boundaries of that region,
To quickly change the defined type of scrolling, press Alt+Enter.
You can define multiple ranges and switched between them. To define and activate such a range, select a cell range and use the Edit > Activate Autoscroll Range command or click the "AutoScroll" label on the worksheet table toolbar. To deactivate it, use the opposite command.
You can also define this type of scrolling globally for the entire worksheet range in the Settings > Options.
