1. Overview
GS-Calc allows you to configure how worksheet updates and calculations are performed. You can specify:
- the maximum number of threads/cores used (1–64)
- the update mode
- additional update‑related options
These settings can be controlled in two places:
Settings → Options → Calculation
Defines the global default update options for all workbooks.
Tools → Update Options
Allows overriding the global settings for the currently opened workbook only.
This flexibility makes it possible to optimize performance depending on the size and complexity of each workbook, or to apply different update strategies across multiple projects.
