1. Overview
Working with wide tables containing textual data can be difficult, especially on large monitors. When you need to control or visually compare values located far apart across many columns or rows, it becomes easy to lose track of the current position.
The Cross‑Highlighting feature in GS-Calc helps improve readability by highlighting the current row or column. You can optionally highlight additional rows or columns above, below, to the left, or to the right of the active cell. These highlighted areas are displayed with a brighter background.
2. Activating Cross‑Highlighting
To enable or disable this feature, use:
View > Toggle Cross‑Highlighting On/Off
To adjust the number of highlighted rows or columns and the contrast between highlighted and non‑highlighted areas, use:
View > Toggle Cross‑Highlighting Options
You can also use the corresponding toolbar button.
